7 October 2026 – Novastone is proud to announce the successful closing of MEYER Transporte, based in Finnentrop, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, by NCA Searcher Rouven Behge, as part of NCA’s Operator-Led Buyout Program, being its first acquisition in Germany.
MEYER TRANSPORTE – SPECIALIST LOGISTICS FOR INFRASTRUCTURE CONSTRUCTION AND MODERNIZATION
After an approximately two-year search, Rouven has completed the acquisition of MEYER Transporte und Baumaschinen-Vermietung GmbH, commonly known as MEYER Transporte, a specialist logistics company based in Finnentrop. The company provides materials logistics and waste management services supporting infrastructure construction and modernization.
“Erhard and Dennis have successfully built one of the most well-rounded logistics businesses I have seen in my career,” said Rouven. “I’m excited to combine my experience, fresh perspective and new energy with the company’s existing strengths, niche know-how and strong alignment with customer needs. There is tremendous potential, and I’m looking forward to working with the team to develop the business further while continuing the legacy they have built.”
The acquisition addresses a clear succession challenge for the second- and third-generation family business. Erhard and Dennis Meyer sought a successor who could preserve the company’s legacy while bringing deep logistics expertise, shared values and a long-term commitment to the business. Rather than pursuing a conventional management hire or a sale to a large corporation, the family sought an owner-operator who would take direct responsibility for the company’s next chapter.
The transition will be deliberately gradual, with a focus on stability and continuity for employees and customers. Both Erhard and Dennis Meyer will remain involved during an extended transition period, while Erhard will also remain a minority shareholder in the business for the long term.
“My first priority is a smooth transition that preserves MEYER Transporte’s customer relationships, operational know-how and high service standards,” said Rouven. “From there, we will focus on strengthening the commercial organization and developing processes and capabilities across sales, operations and finance. The goal is not to change what already works well, but to build on those strengths and create the foundation for sustainable growth.”
Over the longer term, Rouven’s ambition is to further establish MEYER Transporte as the preferred partner for infrastructure logistics and waste management in its core regions. The strategy will focus on sustainable growth, expanding capabilities where they create meaningful value for customers and maintaining the reliability, expertise and flexibility that have defined the company.
The transaction marks the culmination of an approximately two-year search for Rouven, who began exploring business ownership after nearly two decades working across the logistics sector. His interest in acquisition entrepreneurship grew from Germany’s significant business succession challenge and a desire to continue and develop an established company rather than build another logistics business from the ground up.
“In the beginning, the collaboration was helpful through guidance, templates and sparring, but as opportunities progressed through the different stages of a deal, NCA’s support became increasingly important,” Rouven said. “In the weeks between due diligence and closing, it became very clear how competent and dedicated the NCA team members were. I could not have made it through the process without their relentless support.”
“Rouven brought an exceptional combination of deep sector
expertise, operational experience and determination to his search,”
said Daniel Gärtner, Managing Partner at Novastone Capital Advisors. “MEYER Transporte is an excellent fit for his background and the type of business where an experienced owner-operator can build on an already strong foundation. Just as importantly, there is a clear alignment between Rouven and the Meyer family around preserving what has
made the company successful while positioning it for its next stage of development. We are very pleased to have supported Rouven throughout this journey and look forward to seeing what he and the team accomplish together.”
